Microbiology (WEEK 2) – Basic of Microbiology, concept of basic calculation for stock media preparation, Different Sterilization techniques, Solid and Liquid media preparation, Isolation of fungus from different sources (using selective media), Isolation of bacteria from different sources, Serial Dilution techniques, Various methods for streaking and spreading for inoculation methods, isolation of pure colonies, Gram staining and Biochemical testing.

Plant Tissue Culture (WEEK 3) – Plant tissue culture (basics), Sterilization techniques, Media preparation for tissue culture, Inoculation of explants, Surface steririlization technique and Meristem culture of Rosa indica , Imbro culture of Cicer aritinum , Callus culture from Carrot, Special classes and Assessment Test.

Molecular Techniques (WEEK 4) - Basic concept of Percentage, Molarity and Normality, Sterlization techniques, Preparation of different reagents, TBE and TAE buffer, Isolation of DNA from different tissues of plant, Isolation of bacterial genomic DNA, Qualititaive and quantitative analysis of DNA, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, Quantitative analysis of protein.

Herbal drug formulation (WEEK 5) - Basics concepts of Herbal drugs, Preparation of standardized extracts through different techniques - Maceration, Percolation, decoction, soxhlet etc., Media prepration, Safety of herbal medicine, Efficacy of herbal medicine, Qualitative phytochemical analysis of herbal drug, Antibacterial activity of aqueous extract, Minimum Inhibitory Concentration test, chromatography.

Immunology (WEEK 6) -Staining of blood , Estimation of Protein From Lowry assay, Protein assay from Bradford method, Active enzyme purification and seperation from native page, Haemoglobin testing of Blood.

Food Technology (WEEK 7) -Preparation of chemical & Reagents, Analysis of Milk, Microbial contamination of health drinks, Biochemical analysis of different food products, Spectroscopy, Different chromatographic techniques.

Bioinformatics (WEEK-I) - Introduction, Biological databases-NCBI, DDBJ etc, Sequence similarity, Pairwise sequence alignment, BLAST/FASTA, Multiple sequence alignment-Clustal W, Drug designing, Phylogenetic analysis etc. Special classes and assessment test.

Herbal drug formulation (WEEK-II) - Basics concepts of Herbal drugs, Industrial application of herbal drugs and research approach to herbal product, Extract preparation and Disc and well diffusion test, Synergistic and antagonistic effect of herbal drug, Minimum Inhibition Concentration test (MIC), Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) of herbal drugs, comparison to standards…etc, Qualitative assay of different phytochemicals (Protein, carbohydrates, saponins, flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, cardiac glycosides etc.), Quantitative assay of different phytochemicals through spectrophotometrically, Standard Curve and Data Interpretation, TLC and Column chromatography of different plant products.

Industrial Microbiology (WEEK III) - Isolation of pure culture from different sources - Air, water, soil, industrial influence etc., Aseptic technique and transfer of microorganisms, Bacterial staining, capsule stain, Endospore staining and bacterial motility, Biochemical test - Protease test, Methyl Red Test, Starch hydrolysis test, Gelatin hydrolysis test, Catalase test, Oxidase test, VP test etc., Disc and well diffusion test of different antibiotics, Calculate the cfu/ml, Growth kinetics of microbes.

Plant Tissue Culture & Agroinformatics (WEEK IV)– Introduction to PTC, Surface sterailisation of Ex-Plant, preparation of MS Media, Industrial application of PTC, Agrobacterium Mediated transformation, Transfer to Suspension culture, Production of secondary metabolite, Callus culture, Anther culture, Organ culture, Production of Transgenic plant and genetically modified crop, Different typse of phytochemical test of “In-vitro grown transgenic plant”.

Molecular Biology (WEEK V)--Basic concept of percentage, Molarity and normality, DNA isolation from Bacteria, Genomic DNA isolation from human blood, DNA Isolation from Buccal Epithelial Cells, PCR (DNA amplification, Restriction digestion of plasmid, Cosmid, phage DNA’s, Competent cell preparation, insertion of foreign gene, DNA finger printing, Bloting techniques: Southern blotting, Northern blotting.

Immunology (WEEK VI) - Staining of blood, Estimation of Protein From Lowry assay, Protein assay from Bradford method, Active enzyme purification and seperation from native page, Haemoglobin testing of Blood.

Biochemistry (WEEK VI):-Determination of blood sugar, Estimation of protein, Determination of the effect of ph on the activity of human salivary alpha –amylase, Estimation of reducing sugar by Dinitro salicylic acid (DNS) method, Estimation of DNA by the Diphenylamine method Enzymology etc.

Enzymology (WEEK VII):-Production of commercially important enzyme by bacteria,screening of microbes producing extracellular hydrolytic enzymes, enzyme immobilization, thermo stability ,pH,and temperature on enzyme activity, Determining the optimum pH for trypsin, kinetic analysis, Determination of Km and Vmax etc.

.Pharmaceutical Quality Control & Quality Assurance(WEEK VIII):-Antibiotic sensitivity, Tablet hardness test, total water content in drugs, Solution Appearance, Assay of Ascorbic acid tablets, calcium carbonate tablets, Biochemical tests, Adverse reaction, GLP in Pharmaceuticals, Clean room concept, identification in microorganisms in drug, water treatment process.etc, percentage purity of Paracetamol, Analysis of aspirin.

Pharmaceutical & Clinical Microbiology (WEEK IX) -:- - Endotoxin test, MIC and MBC test, Testing of antibiotics, Sterile testing of Injectables, Bioassay of Vitamins, ESBL detection, blood culture & analysis, Isolation of micro flora from sputum, Biochemical testing of Microorganism.

Food Technology (WEEK X) -:-Determination of protein, carbohydrates, lipids etc., Analysis of chemical constituents from different food, Identification of microbes in health drinks, Acid value determination, Saponification value determnation, Qualitative and Quantitative estimation of Vitamin C, Adulterant analysis of milk, Thin Layer Chromatography and Column chromatography of different food product.
